Shannon Reed, MS, SLP, is a member of the Baptist
Speech and Hearing Clinic staff. She earned her bachelor's
degree in communication disorders from the University of
Louisiana at Monroe and a master's degree in speech-language
pathology from Northern Arizona University. Shannon
works full-time at the speech clinic and in the hospital.
Shannon has gained experience in pediatrics speech-language
therapy focusing on articulation, language, stuttering, apraxia
of speech and cleft lip/palate. She also has gained experience
in working with the adult population in the areas of voice,
aphasia, head injuries and swallowing. she currently
participates in nursing orientation to educate new nursing
staff members on swallowing difficulties and aspiration precautions.
Ms. Reed is an active member of the American Speech-Hearing
Association and Florida Association of Speech-Language Pathologists
and Audiologists. She is also a Fast ForWord provider.
