Student-Athlete Injury Clinic

In addition to our Sports Medicine Outreach of providing certified athletic trainers (ATCs) and physicians to area high schools, we also provide a free Student-Athlete Injury Clinic.

The physicians and certified athletic trainers that staff the Injury Clinic provide free injury assessments to athletes on a walk–in basis. Many of these athletes participated in a sporting event the evening before and either didn’t have medical attention on–site or awoke to grueling pain that needed urgent care.

Additional information about free injury evaluations provided to student athletes by an orthopaedic physician and certified athletic trainer includes:

  • Walk–in care available. No appointment is necessary.
  • Arrive from 8–10 a.m. on Saturdays throughout football season.
  • Be sure to bring signed parental consent forms, or arrive with your parents, as well as insurance information (in case attention beyond the evaluation is necessary, such as an X–Ray).

For more information, call Jeremy Lowery, director of Sports Medicine, at 850.916.8615 or Maria Halpin, quality rehabilitation manager at 850.916.8708.

For after hours emergencies, call 850.554.9144.
